From November 2024 to March 2025, ethnic minority women in northern Laos harvested Kai seawees and produced Kaipen, a traditional and nutritious Lao snack. Starting in April 2025, the project shifted its focus to strengthening women’s capacity in sales and marketing.
Following the training, participants began selling and promoting their Kaipen at local booths and a regional agricultural fair. These activities provided valuable experience in product promotion and customer interaction, which are important steps toward building economic independence.
Looking ahead, Wonders International plans to maintain and improve the shared Kaipen production facility. We will also provide equipment such as a washing machine to enhance hygiene and boost productivity. Additionally, essential tools like aprons and sanitary gloves will be distributed to support safer and more hygienic production.
Your continued support helps these women transform local traditions into meaningful and sustainable livelihoods. Thank you for being part of their journey.
Warm regards,
Wonders International Team
