Exciting news for BonZeb, Inc. and Haitian Educational Aid and Resources, Inc.

The weekend the boards for each organization will be meeting to conplete the process of merging H.E.A.R. with BonZeb. This is a move that has been in the works for many months and it will allow both projects to expand their missions in Haiti and the U.S. and beyond.

The merger benefits H.E.A.R. by allowing us to provide(when funds allow) scholarships not only to graduate students in Portland, but also to students attending university in Haiti. H.E.A.R. continues to offer two scholarships through Concordia University in Portland and is expanding with conversations with the University of Portland and Oregon State University. These new scholarships could possibly be for either undergrad or graduate students and would be in engineering, science, nursing and more. With the new connection with BonZeb and its relationship with Notre Dame Universities of Haiti, it will open up possiblitites for nursing, engineering and other majors in country.

Having the school administrations discussing ways to collaborate and work together may open even more doors, visiting faculty, guest lecturers, partnerships, etc.

It is an exciting time for all of us.

As we move into these new partnerships we will also be looking at expanding our board to bring on more expertise in the areas we need to expand.

One other big step this weekend is the board appoval to finish the purchase on the land for our plant in Benico, once all the paperwork is finalized. Everything from the sellers side has been done and he is simply waiting for the wheels of government to turn and he will have a new copy of his deed. Once he has that in hand we will once again be heading to Haiti to finish the process and begin building.
