Creating sustainable jobs & clean burning biochar

We recently completed repairs on our conversion kiln and have begun the process of testing it with our biomass. It is a long process, especially since I have not been able to return to Haiti for over a year, due to civil unrest. Doing things remotely in an area with no connectivity makes great feedback difficult. No on the spot observations. But the first test taught the staff a lot about the process and the equipment.

We currenly have 53 workers, who rotate through our payroll. At their request they rotate through with a team of 7 each week. They wanted us to spread the wealth by employing as many family members and neighbors, and it has worked out well. These families represent over 240 individuals whose lives have been imporved due to our mission. A mission that is only made possible by your generous donations.
