Thousands of People Displaced by Floods
Prepared by Save life make difference
1. Executive Summary
Heavy floods caused by intense rainfall have severely affected vulnerable communities, destroying homes, crops, schools, roads, and access to clean water. Thousands of families have been displaced and are now living in temporary shelters under extremely difficult conditions.
This project aims to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to flood-affected families through emergency shelter, food distribution, clean drinking water, sanitation support, medical assistance, and long-term community recovery programs.
The project also focuses on rebuilding resilience by supporting displaced families with livelihood recovery, hygiene awareness, and disaster preparedness activities.

3. Background and Problem Statement
Recent flooding has caused widespread destruction in several vulnerable communities. Continuous heavy rainfall led to rivers overflowing, destruction of houses, displacement of families, contamination of water sources, and increased risks of disease outbreaks.
Many families lost:
Homes and personal belongings
Agricultural fields and livestock
Access to clean water
Access to healthcare services
Sources of income
Women and children are among the most affected due to poor living conditions in overcrowded temporary shelters.
Without urgent intervention, the humanitarian situation may worsen due to hunger, disease outbreaks, malnutrition, and lack of safe shelter.
