Dear Donors,
First of all, we would like to thank all of you for the constant support that you give to our project in favor of the young women that live in the extremely poor region of Tamil Nadu. As we all know, the health emergency has transformed itself in an economic emergency. For this reason, we are trying to support many families with extra aid and more food distributions.
Thousands of people are now without a job or without the possibility to earn some money that allowed them to survive. During the last months there has been a slow recovery, in particular in the south of India where the project is developed. In these more rural areas the spread of the virus has decreased compared to bigger metropolis, where the diffusion has been really high.
After some months of closures due to the Covid emergency, our project aimed at empowering women through dressmaker and IT courses is going on finally in person. We have 24 women enrolled in the tailoring course and 17 in the IT lessons. Thanks to your support our local partners have the chance to continue these activities that help women to become independent and to live more freely their life.
