In march we took part in the GlobalGiving Girl Fund campaign with the project “Threads of Hope” and, thanks to your valuable contribution, we have reached the 26th position (out of a total of 146). The result was really good: we collected 3266 dollars, of which 520 in special bonuses for all donations made on 8 March 2018.
The support received will allow us to increase the services offered by the project through the purchase of new machinery and the possibility of continuing to support the salary of teachers in the rural village of Nagercoil. This, for Indian women and girls, means being able to obtain more and more professional skills and consequently be able to seize opportunities in the world of work.
After the delivery of the diplomas in January, the tailoring courses were restarted in February with a new group of girls. Also the computer courses, organized in several cycles throughout the year, continue for the best: our referent Upalth is satisfied with the results achieved and the great opportunity given with this project.
Thank you very much for your support and we hope you can count on your precious help: together we are sure we can give that possibility often denied to many Indian girls.
