Hello Wonderful Supporters!
As spring starts approching here in the southern hemisphere, there is definitely a sense of new beginnings at TLC. We have a number of placements in progress for some of our babies into families of their own! What a wonderful blessing. As well as a few precious newborns join our TLC family over the last few months! <3
In this update we wanted to remind you how YOU truly are the life blood of our organisation! Without our Adopt-A-Cot supporters there is no way we would be able to get by every month.
TLC Children's Home is now 37% funded towards our monthly costs through our Adopt-A-Cot program. We have had some new supporters and businesses sign up to bring us to just over a third of our monthly needs met.
We are on the right track but still need to secure the remaining 63% monthly sponsorship to sustain our work of caring for vulnerable and at-risk babies and children.
In Rands, we still require R220,000 (about $14 300) of dedicated monthly funds to cover our costs.
At the moment, our most urgent needs are:
School Fees:
We need a further R60,000 (about $4000) a month to cover this cost. We are currently a month behind in payments.
Food:
Our monthly food bill is R40,000 (about $2600) and we are consistently running short of supplies.
We've done the math!
If each of our 305 Active Adopt-A-Cot supporters encouraged just 2 other individuals to each donate $10 a month through Adopt-A-Cot we would be over 90% funded!
That's our goal! To achieve our dream of working in an environment where we don't have to worry about how we're going to make it through every month, and rather keep our focus on giving the best possible love and care to the little ones in our home, while we fight for their right to be placed as rapidly and responsibly as possible into a loving family of their own.
