  • About two thirds of India’s population – 825 million people – depend on agriculture for their livelihoods. Rising food insecurity is caused by environmental degradation, pressure on land, and droughts and floods, which are becoming more common.
  • Only 30% of women are in the labour force. They receive just 62% of the average salary for a man. Finding a decent job is also a challenge for India’s large and growing youth population
  • Scholars since ancient time believe that the universe is made with the composition of five elements. All these five elements are present in the balanced state in this universe. For instance: if the level of water increases up to a certain limit, then the whole world will be filled with water resulting in floods. These five elements, Water, Air, Fire, Space and Earth. That all these five elements are essential for the existence of human life on earth.
  • outcome of the project
  • There are fifty villages surrounding behalf of the Tiruvannamalai City and Annamalaiyar Forest. The target people residence generally lives as subsistence farmers and local problems relate to forestry, agriculture, livestock, education, health and income. Normally the peoples lived depend upon on the Annamalaiyar Forest and its forest area. Peoples utilized the forest resources day by day. At presently under the surrounding the Mountain deforested gradually damaged. Hence our Awareness program will increase the knowledge to our target group members will take care the forest and to maintain and manage the Green environment and trees growth in the following years.
