Plans are underway for an eventful spring term. Our groups and ensembles started back on Saturday 13th January and we had our 'Try-Out' week from 13th to 19th January, giving many young musicians and singers the opportunity to try out our groups to see if they'd like to join in - a great way to start 2024 - spreading the  musical opportuities here at Bromley Youth Music Trust!

We have been busy preparing for our Annual Trotman Competition on 27th January and our Classical Singer Competition on 28th January - bringing together our very finest musicians and vocalists respectively. This year the Norman Trotman finalsists will perfom on a Cello, Piano, French Horn, Trombone and Flute. The Classical SInger finalists will be performing songs from a mixture of musical genres.

We have some exciting musical plans for our February half term break with 'BYMT Bitesize'. More information will be released soon on our website.

Then it will be all systems 'GO' for our Festival concerts at the end of March featuring performances from our Wind Bands, Choirs and Orchestras. Listening to the sounds coming from rehearsals, we're in for a musical extravaganza.

Festival of WInds - Sunday 10th March - SEVEN wind bands performances

Festival of Choirs - Saturday 16th March - SIX choirs

Festival of Orchestras - Sunday 17th March - where a total of SEVEN orchestras will perform

These are VERY popular concerts and we expect the performances to sell out!

Here at BYMT we continue to work hard to make music happen for our young musicians, performers and singers and we are proud that we have been able to continue to give opportunities to learn and play and sing to the young people of Bromley and beyond , especailly to those who have asked for our support thiis year.  There is a HUGE demand for our Young Musicians' Bursary which provides financial support and we are extremely grateful to our Patrons and Donors who donate to BYMT so that we can keep this service going.
