During Covid 19 lockdown and emergencies the number of teenage mothers increased because schools were closed and school going girls were idle and many were made vulnerable because of the poverty in their households, many parents lost their Businesses and jobs because of the lockdown and the demand by government that only those giving essential services be the only ones to go to work. Many girls were left vulnerable lacking food ,sanitary towels and engaged in prostitution as well as relationship with benefits to ensure that their needs were met .
Community Focus Group plans to reach out to this girls to engage them in our program in the coming season ,hopefully with adequate funding we will reach out to approximately 12 cohorts .
