Many young mothers in Ghana struggle to support themselves and their children due to unemployment, low income, and limited access to vocational training. Without financial opportunities, many remain dependent on others and face ongoing economic hardship. This project will provide entrepreneurship training, business skills, and startup support for 250 young mothers to help them build sustainable livelihoods and improve their families' well-being.
Young mothers often face barriers to employment because of limited education, lack of skills, childcare responsibilities, and poverty. Many are unable to secure stable jobs or start small businesses due to lack of training and financial resources. This leaves many families vulnerable to poverty, food insecurity, and poor living conditions.
This project will train 250 young mothers in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, customer service, and small business management. Participants will also receive practical skills training in areas such as trading, food processing, hairdressing, tailoring, or other income-generating activities. Selected participants will receive startup support to help launch small businesses.
This project will help 250 young mothers gain financial independence, improve household income, and create better opportunities for their children. It will reduce unemployment among vulnerable women, strengthen local economic activity, and support long-term family stability and self-reliance.
