Dear friends of Sunshine Foundation,
After one year of being away, we are now back on GlobalGiving. A lot has happened during this time and the world around us has profoundly changed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but our work to help build the burn rehabilitation capacities of our international partners hasn’t stopped. During these challenging times, Sunshine has done everything possible to continue to support its international partners. Although in-person training has not been possible, we have been holding series of online trainings. In September 2020, March 2021 and September 2021, we’ve organized online advanced training on pressure garment fabrication for our partners in Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala. In addition, we held from May to August 2021 a comprehensive online course to introduce the basic concepts of rehabilitation of the burned hand for 65 occupational and physical therapists from across Latin America. With your ongoing support, we will continue to expand these online trainings in 2022.
We hope that you will continue to support the efforts of Sunshine Foundation to improve burn rehabilitation worldwide by donating to our new project Give Burn Survivors Access to Rehabilitation.
You can maximize the impact of your donation to Sunshine during GlobalGiving’s 2021 #GivingTuesday campaign which will last 24 hours, from 00:00:00 EST to 23:59:59 EST on November 30, 2021. With $1 MILLION USD in funding available from GlobalGiving, there’s never been a better time to give!
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
