Since 2011, the efforts of Sunshine Foundation to bring rehabilitation to burn survivors in low and middle income countries have focused on building the skills and capacities of professionals like therapists and social workers, either through trainings held in their own country, or through internships held at Sunshine Foundation in Taiwan.
In 2015, we were able to continue our capacity building project in Chennai, India, where we support through training and technical assistance the establishment of a rehabilitation facility and services for women burn survivors. We were also able to co-organize a week-long training in Bangladesh with Interburns and other local partners for therapists from South East Asian countries.
These capacity building projects would not have been possible without your support and thanks to you, Sunshine Foundation was in the top 20% ranking of partners on GlobalGiving in 2015. Your donations not only keep us going, but also bring attention to our work and in the process, help raise awareness about the needs of burn survivors worldwide.
Now you can make your donation to Sunshine Foundation achieve an even bigger impact during GlobalGiving’s Bonus Day. Starting on March 16 at 9:00am US Eastern time (March 16 at 21:00 Taiwan time), GlobalGiving will be matching gifts made to Sunshine Foundation.
