This month our new World of Work (WOW) 8 cohort begin their six month daily course at our Edwina Gateley compound in Milimani, Kitale. Denis and Emmanuel (former WOW 5) both carried out Organic Agriculture training and now pass on this knowledge to our WOW and Proud Mom members. The range of the products produced continues to grow. So far the following, and more, have been grown in our compound - carrots, strawberries, bananas, cherry tomatoes, lemongrass, maize, chillis, capsicum, cow peas, black knightshade, spinach, kales, cabbage, onions, beetroot, rhubarb, lettuce, pumpkin, rosemary.. As we now posess the skills among our team we are unlikely to send others for the formal month long training. This will then mean that this is likely to be the last of the reports which we give for this project and we will now stop funding for it. As always we are very grateful to those who have supported the development of such skills for our young people and the improvement of their nutrition also.
