Dear Donors,
Thank you for your interest in supporting safer farming practices across rural Nigeria. Your concern highlights the need to protect both farmers’ livelihoods and community health.
Many smallholder farmers lose large portions of their harvests to pests. Heavy reliance on chemical pesticides damages soil, reduces crop quality, and poses health risks. Misuse of these chemicals also harms water sources and lowers long-term farm productivity. In addition, many farmers lack basic tools such as hoes and cutlasses, limiting effective farm management. This project will train farmers on organic pest control methods, including crop rotation, natural pest traps, and preparation of plant-based bio-pesticides. Each participating farmer will receive essential farm tools and organic pest control supplies to apply these methods immediately.
At present, no donations have been received, and funding is required before training sessions and tool distribution can begin. We kindly invite you to support or share this initiative so farmers can adopt safer, more productive practices.
With sincere appreciation,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
