Dear Donors,
Thank you for your interest in supporting mental health awareness in Nigerian public schools. Your concern highlights the silent struggles many students face each day without recognition or support.
In many schools, signs of anxiety, depression, trauma, or behavioral challenges are misunderstood as misconduct. Without trained staff or school counselors, students experiencing emotional distress receive no guidance. This affects concentration, academic performance, and can lead to school dropout. This project will organize structured workshops for public-school teachers to help them recognize early warning signs and provide appropriate classroom support. Teachers will learn simple observation techniques, first-line emotional support skills, and clear referral pathways for professional care. Training materials and follow-up mentoring will reinforce these skills.
At present, no donations have been received, and funding is required before training sessions can begin. We kindly invite you to support or share this initiative so schools can better support vulnerable students.
With sincere appreciation,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
