The role of trainers in addressing the increased demand has never been more crucial. Their work is not just in demand, but it is also integral to our mission.
Since COVID hit, the number of cases of reported sexual abuse at Not Guilty has tripled. In response, we have increased our support for trainers and counselors, recognizing the strain this has put on many of you. Your well-being is our priority, and we are committed to providing the necessary resources to help you cope with the increased demand.
During the past six months, we have started an intensive t4rain the trainer with the following model:
Trainers are trained for 30 hours over two months.
After the training, a newly trained trainer will attend training with a seasoned trainer.
Then, the seasoned trainer goes with the new trainer and gives him/her part of the training while they watch and assess the latest trainer.
For a new trainer to be certified by Not Guilty, they must conduct a minimum of six training sessions under the supervision of an experienced trainer.
All trainers have either completed a two-year training on sexual abuse or have completed a bachelor of psychotherapy with a focus on sexual abuse.
Not Guilty has trained six new trainers since the beginning of 2024.
