I am delighted to report that in recent days we have had 3 separate promises of substantial support for this project.
This is really wonderful news! Although the funds have not reached us yet, we know there will be sufficient to allow a geological survey to go ahead, preparatory to drilling a borehole.
Depending on the ultimate cost of this, there should be sufficient left over to allow the purchase of wood for making tables and work benches, to buy and deliver some tools and sewing machines, and even to contribute towards the cost of salaries for 2 of the carpentry and tailoring trainers.
Rev Mike Williams our HANDS AROUND THE WORLD link volunteer will visit again in April to bring support and lots of encouragement to the local management committee. It is wonderful to hear how this news has already given them all a tremendous psychological boost!
Please continue to support their efforts to make a real difference in the lives of many seriously disadvantaged and vulnerable young people by offering them a chance to undertake training. Thank you for your help!
