Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting this project to provide vocational skills training to 1,000 street boys in Nigeria. Your support helps these boys gain practical skills, mentorship, and starter kits to build safe and sustainable livelihoods.
Many street boys survive by begging or scavenging, exposing them to hunger, disease, and exploitation. Limited access to education and vocational training keeps them trapped in cycles of poverty, crime, and social exclusion. Without intervention, these boys have few alternatives to survive safely and productively.
This project provides hands-on training in trades such as carpentry, tailoring, and ICT. Participants also receive mentorship and starter kits to launch small businesses or secure employment. By equipping them with practical skills and guidance, the project offers a pathway out of street life and towards economic independence.
Over time, trained boys will be able to earn income, support their families, and contribute positively to their communities. Communities benefit as vulnerability and street-related crime decrease, while youth gain opportunities to thrive. The project also sets a model for vocational programs that can be expanded to other cities, increasing youth employment and social stability.
Currently, donations received are not sufficient to launch the program, but with continued support, we can empower these boys to transform their lives and futures.
With thanks,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
