Thank You for Making Ordinary Moment Extraordinary

By JACQUELINE AUDIGE | CEO / Founder

Our new single mom and her children
Our new single mom and her children

I have told you so often, on behalf of Aumazo’s board of directors and myself, that your partnership is the greatest asset that AUMAZO, INC possesses. We have worked together with you to grow our program’s success, making it a billion times stronger than what we have anticipated at the beginning of the Aumazo project.

Academic Year Results

This strength is demonstrated by the results of the past academic year (2017-18) when sixteen girls out of the twenty-two in the tutoring program who took the exam passed the high school entrance exam. The 73 percent pass rate consisted of 81.25percent for general education (13 girls out of 16) and 50 percent for technical education (3 girls out of 6).

These results are a great improvement compared to the program's first year when the pass rate of the high school entrance exam was 35 percentfor general education and 0 percent for the technical education. We attributed a large part of the improvement to our methodology, which emphasizes mutual respect of students and teachers as well as collaborative learning. Nevertheless, we also recognize that this would not have been possible without your unprecedented generosity.

Another New Single Mom Joins the Tutoring Program

Those increased donations from your hearts are tiny seeds of hope that you have sowed in the mind of girls in our tutoring program. New girls are coming on to replace those that are leaving. No later than this morning, our tutoring program teachers shared extraordinary news with me. They said that at the beginning of this academic year (2018-19), they welcome Audrey in the program. She is another single mother who has been out of school for several years. She has two young children.

Her younger sister is one of the first beneficiaries of Aumazo tutoring program. She passed her high school entrance exam this year and is currently enrolled in the high school of her choice supported by the Aumazo tuition award program for the girls who successfully passed the exams. Audrey must have gotten her inspiration from her sister, or it could be from our first single mother Raïssa, who joined the program and succeeded in the high school entrance exam last year. No matter what were her reasons for joining, one thing that is clear to us is that jointly with AUMAZO, INC, you are making ordinary moments extraordinary.

 Our Boarding School's Status

How can we not continue to have strong faith in the future of AUMAZO, INC’s project with such terrific results? We are supremely confident in our own ability to preserve this success. Our hunger in new challenge is stronger than ever for very good reasons. The twenty-three girls that graduated from the tutoring program for the last two academic years could not enter our school because the buildings are not yet complete. Our current focus is to finish the sanitation and water project as well as four classrooms to welcome the next cohort of graduates into our own school building by fall 2019.

A Classroom With YOUR Name On It

You have an opportunity to make an even bigger impact by funding and putting your name on one or more of the classrooms on the floor plan. You will notice that few rooms are already taken.

Return a copy to us with your chosen classroom(s) and the name you want us to engrave on it. We will do the rest.

Together, we have already turned the challenges facing 23 girls into opportunities through the tutoring program. Our greatest gift that is the love of AUMAZO, INC will never subside. It is palpable throughout the program. Let it continue be quite infectious!

Again, thank you for being Aumazo’s # 1supporters.

Sincerely,

Jacqueline Audige and the Board
