A Special Thank You

By JACQUELINE AUDIGE | Founder

Unity is Strength
Unity is Strength

We want to send a special THANK YOU! to you for being involved in the success and growth of AUMAZO, INC. Your unprecedented support and generosity have advanced our mission of a quality STEM education for girls in rural Cameroon. We at AUMAZO recognize that without YOU, the great things that we are witnessing at AUMAZO would never have happened.

Your Donations Fuel Progress

On July 18, 2019 you donated almost $4,500. That is 33% toward our goal of $13,500 to fuel the momentum that together we created for the AUMAZO tutoring program. This has already allowed us to begin the 2019-2020 program this year on a good footing.

The final admissions testing results came in right after July 18thSix out of seven of the girls who took the high school entrance exam for the 2018-2019 academic year passed. That's an 86% success rate for a third year running and makes the pass rate for our program the highest in the Region! These impressive results increase the number of girls who graduated from our tutoring program to 29 over the last three years.

We could not be more thrilled with this outcome. We are even happier to report that ALL of the girls who participated in the program as 7thgraders last year returned to the program as 8thgraders for this academic year. Audrey, one of the two single mothers that we have welcomed to the program in the last three years, was the first to show up for class on September 3rd

Audrey's World of Opportunity

A year ago, Audrey joined the tutoring program with one goal in mind, “to turn my life around and secure a better future for my two children. Today, I am happy and feel very empowered. I never imagined that I would be rushing to get to class. I wish learning were this fun and emancipating everywhere, in particular at my day school. The tutoring program helped me develop a different attitude toward learning and I can turn on and off that mental switch depending on the context and environment that I find myself in.” Her success in the program over the past year is a testament to the life-changing and opportunity-altering nature of our program. This would not be possible were it not for YOUR generosity.

Your exceptional kindness is working wonders for AUMAZO programs. The return on your investment in these girls is greater than we had ever anticipated. Their hopes and expectations for their futures are bountiful. Their families, and their villages will reap the greatest rewards from this positivity. Together, we can nurture these budding young women – the future of their communities. Let’s challenge ourselves to expand our own hopes and expectations in order to accomplish what is otherwise not possible for these girls. Please keep Audrey and the other young women and girls in the program in your hearts as you consider your year-end donations.

Our Appreciation for Your Enduring Support.

As a Friend of Aumazo, YOU have already turned this almost 15-year old dream into a reality and a pathway to the future that 29 girls in Bankondji village in Cameroon deserve. So again, we send a special THANK YOU! to you. Only in partnership with caring people like you can the work of AUMAZO to change the future for these girls be accomplished; and we are grateful.
