Celebrating 19 Years of Aumazo: An Incredible Journey with You

By Jacqueline Audige | Founder

On May 24, 2024, we joyously celebrated the 19th anniversary of Aumazo. Imagine our organization as a child reaching the end of its teenage years, standing on the brink of adulthood. Together, we have nurtured it with unwavering dedication, setting it on a path of growth and remarkable achievements.

Reflecting on Our Journey: A Tribute to Your Support

Thanks to your incredible involvement and support, we have accomplished significant milestones over the past 19 years:

  • Construction Milestones: We embarked on constructing our flagship high school, completed the library and two classrooms, and welcomed tutoring students to its halls.
  • Infrastructure Enhancements: We upgraded the kilometer-long track from the village to the school, ensuring year-round access for students and construction materials.
  • Official Recognition: The Cameroon Ministry of Education granted us official permission to open and operate the school legally.
  • Tutoring Program Success: Our tutoring program has empowered over 200 middle school girls in rural communities to pass the mandatory national exams required for high school entry, with 98 girls successfully advancing.
  • Scholarship Program: As a bridging measure, we introduced a scholarship program for girls who passed the high school entrance exams. So far, ten participants have graduated with high school diplomas.
  • ZOMABuild Establishment: We founded ZOMABuild, a construction business poised to support CoReTecK Kamarie's operating costs.
  • Clean Water Access: We completed a water tower that provided clean drinking water to the student community and the neighboring village.
  • Agribusiness Training: In 2023, we launched Agribusiness Training, developing vocational training activities for agricultural microenterprises benefiting girls in our programs.

Your Support: The Key to Our Success

What comes to mind when reflecting on these achievements? EXCEPTIONAL!

Your extraordinary support has been the cornerstone of our ability to deliver greatness, often on a shoestring budget. While celebrating these successes, we remain aware there is much more to achieve.

Looking Ahead: Our Promise and Commitment

Nineteen years ago, Aumazo made a promise to girls in rural communities. Thanks to your collaboration and engagement, we have kept that promise. With your continued support, we are determined to reach even greater heights.

We look forward to welcoming the first students to our school in September 2024, paving the way forward.

Heartfelt Gratitude

We are immensely grateful for your undeniable support and for bringing Aumazo this far. Together, we are making a lasting impact.

With sincere gratitude,

Jacqueline Audige and the Board
