Two decades ago, we dreamed of building a school where sanitation would never compromise girls' education. That dream became Coretech Kamarie. Yet, today, the foundational element of that dream—adequate toilets—is missing.
What complicates this critical need is that our student body now includes both girls and boys. While rudimentary latrines are present, the situation for our female students is unacceptable.
Princess, a second-year student, shared her reality: "When I visit the current latrine, which is dilapidated and unhygienic, near a small wood, I'm terrified of encountering a snake. And I'm also ashamed that a boy is watching me through the broken corrugated iron door. The new toilet, which is eagerly awaited, will be a welcome addition."
The current facilities compromise their safety, hygiene, and dignity.
This GivingTuesday (starting December 2nd), we are asking you to close this gap. Your donation will not just build infrastructure; it will restore the safety and dignity that every student deserves.
Get ready to make a profound difference starting tomorrow!
With deep gratitude,
Jacqueline T. Audige and the Board
