The Afghan Institute of Learning is well on its way to meet (and in some cases surpass) the goals set forth in this project. During the first quarter of the project [July 1, 2011 – September 30, 2011], AIL provided health services to 15,189 adolescent girls, and health education to 32,956 adolescent girls.

On average, 3,393 girls between the ages of 10 and 19 were attending classes at the AIL Learning Centers each month.

44 adolescent girls have attended leadership workshops during this quarter, and AIL is setting up future workshops specifically aimed at this age group.
