Rede Cidadã is celebrating its 21st anniversary and we are delighted to have placed more than 116,000 people in the job market. We have thus collaborated with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal, SDG 1, contributing to end poverty through the employability of socially vulnerable young people in Brazil.
With the Covid-19 pandemic, progress in reducing poverty has been halted on a global scale, hunger has once again become a concern and Rede Cidadã believes that Brazilian youth need to be embraced to develop their skills, gain confidence, and have job opportunities to lead their lives with prospects and autonomy, in the face of the harsh reality they face.
As Carlos, a young man who was an apprentice at Rede Cidadã and is now the Direct Sales Operations Coordinator at a national department store, said: "The professional apprenticeship process was very important for my career because it was at Rede Cidadã that I learned everything, I learned to be the professional I am today."
All of this is only possible thanks to the support of people and companies like you, who believe in our work to provide opportunities and transform lives. Rede Cidadã is very fortunate to have people and companies who share the same vision of improving the living conditions of people living in poverty.
For your support and engagement, we would like to invite you for Giving Tuesday, an international fundraising campaign coming up on November 28th. Share our page (LINK) with your family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to support hundreds more youth to get the opportunity they deserve. We are counting with your support!
Enjoy reading our last newsletter on the importance of contributing to the end poverty, in which we hear from users of some of our projects with homeless people and those living in extreme poverty, as well as to visit our website and learn more about our programs and projects and meet our partners.
Thank you for your support!
