While the world is gearing up for a future powered by renewable energy, rural communities in Africa often lack the necessary resources to make proactive preparations for climate change. Our project activities and services are diverse, but one of our key initiatives is the development of a portable solar system. This system, created in collaboration with leading researchers and entrepreneurs, is simple to install and capable of powering an entire township’s company or residence.
However, we are currently facing a significant challenge. Loadshedding has been escalated to 12 hours a day, leaving children unable to complete their schoolwork without electricity. This situation underscores the urgent need for our solar power project and the importance of donations.
Your contributions can make a real difference. They could help us fundraise for rechargeable light bulbs, providing a reliable light source for children to continue their education despite the power cuts. Together, we can illuminate their path to a brighter future.
Report
By equipping our local partners with renewable energy, we are not only enabling children to learn at any time but also providing them with electricity for computers, sewing machines, and other vocational training tools. This access to power is crucial, especially now when load shedding has escalated to 12 hours a day, leaving children unable to work in the dark and without electricity.
Renewable energy also facilitates communication in emergencies and powers water pumps in homes, reducing the time spent collecting water. It is a vital component for future growth and self-sufficiency of these communities.
Despite our efforts, we still have a long journey ahead. We have currently raised $913, but we are far from reaching our target. Your support can help us bridge this gap and light up the lives of these children.
Thank you for your continued support.
