Growing high-valued trees
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your donation to our project tree growing for food and biodiversity improvement. Food and biodiversity should be promoted together in order to provide incentive for farmers to really grow trees. There is little interest in the villages if we talk about biodiversity alone since they have very little understanding what is is all about. Food is what is needed by poor farmers so this is how we do the promotion and project implementation. This reporting period we are able to engage 35 farmers to plant high-valued fruit trees. We will follow this up with technical support as growing trees require proper care and management. Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre

Integrating other crops
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your donation to our project tree growing for food and biodiversity improvement. We continue to focus our efforts to the growing of food especially now that we are experiencing erratic weather patterns and the seasons are not predictable anymore. Planting of crops is a gamble especially for poor farmers whose resources is limited. Aside from the growing of trees whose benefits will take years to be realized we also advocate to our beneficiaries the growing of root crops, bananas and vegetables. In so doing they generate food and income while waiting for the trees to mature. We also advocate and prioritize the growing of fruit trees because they are not harvested or cut while they provide continuous supply of harvest. We were able to support with root crop and banana planting materials 120 farmers during this reporting period. Your support is very much welcome. Thank you so much.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre

Tree growing
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your donation to our initiative tree growing for food and biodiversity improvement. The explanation to our beneficiaries the benefit of tree growing because it increases their food supply is very important because they would not understand the reason about biodiversity improvement. Biodiversity is far from the mind if food is lacking and this is what is not being understood by most promoters of this kind of enterprise. We should prioritize and advocate the need for food first and the need for biodiversity improvement can come later on. This reporting period we are able to provide tree seedlings to 35 farmers going into tree growing. We want to expand this project to more farmers and we need your help in order to do this.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
