Empowering Change: A Quarter in Review

By Gerald Poh | Fundraising Manager

Dear Valued Donors,

As we transition through the seasons, it's with great enthusiasm that we share the milestones and progress achieved in Trybe's Counselling & Therapy Service (CTS) for the first quarter of 2024. Your enduring support and belief in our mission have been pivotal to our journey, enabling us to make significant strides in mental health support and advocacy.

Program Outreach and Impact

The past quarter has seen remarkable achievements and growth in our outreach and impact:

  • Sessions and Clients: The dedication of our team and the resilience of our clients have been evident in the 262 counselling sessions conducted, supporting 26 unique individuals in their mental health journeys. This marks a notable increase in our service provision, demonstrating our commitment to meeting the community's growing mental health needs.

  • Pending Intakes: The demand for our services continues to rise, with 14 individuals currently awaiting intake. This highlights the ongoing need for accessible mental health support and our team's efforts to ensure that no one is left behind.

  • Subsidized Sessions: Ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to mental health care, we've offered 43 subsidized sessions this quarter, including 31 fully subsidized and 12 partially subsidized sessions (with 1 at 75% subsidy and 11 at 50% subsidy). This initiative is central to our mission of making mental health services available to all.

Reflecting on Growth

Comparing these latest statistics with those of the previous report, the growth in our outreach is evident. The increase from 128 to 262 sessions and from 19 to 26 unique clients serves as a testament to our expanding reach and the trust placed in us by those we serve.

Looking Ahead

Our vision for the future remains broad and inclusive. The ongoing dialogue with Voluntary Children's Homes (VCHs) in Singapore is set to broaden our impact, particularly among youths who have limited access to mental health resources. This initiative represents a significant step towards our goal of fostering a community where comprehensive well-being is within everyone's reach.

We extend our deepest gratitude for your continued partnership and support. Your contributions are the cornerstone of our ability to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. It is with your help that we can continue to break down barriers and provide essential mental health services to those in need.

As we forge ahead, we remain committed to our principles of transparency, accountability, and unwavering support for mental health accessibility. Thank you for joining us in this essential and transformative journey.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Gerald Poh
