Slow and Steady Progress

GIving Tuesday is December 2 !

Our College program currently has two participants, Ms. V , age 20  and Ms. T age A 19.  Both of these young women work at Champey, with Ms. V involved with visitor engagement and general operations  and  Ms. T working as a dance teacher.

These two individual are, for the most part, fluent ,  self taught English speakers.  Both of these young women are currently enrolled in evening classes and studying in  their first year college curriculum. They are  taking the  foundational classes that are required  to prepare to  select a course of study  for a degree.

Their committment is shown in their decision to pay 1/2 of their own tuition , taking advantage of the opportunity for Kasumisou Foundation to  pay the remaining  50%. While it may seem like " small money" to those of us in the developed world, it is a sigificant financial committment  with  each student  paying $ 300  and receiving a $ 300 grant from Kasumisou.  A college education offers these young women an opportunity to lift themselves up . The completion of a degree will enable them to obtain professional level employment and by doing so, join the fast growing ranks of  the educated middle class in Cambodia.

Your generous contributions make all of this possible and we are deeply grateful to you for your support.

Giving Tuesday is December 2

Please join us on Giving Tuesday, December December 2, where your donation of up to $ 2500 will be able to receive incentive  funds.

Your support has changed the lives of the students in our program and we are deeply grateful to you for your support!
