Our solar panel initiative in Syria continues to bring hope to families living in the dark. In Aleppo, where electricity is often available for only a couple of hours a day, solar energy can changing lives, making homes safer and restoring dignity to those most in need.
One of the families we recently supported is that of Kamal Ibrahim Agha, a 77-year-old tailor who suffers from severe respiratory problems. His breathing machine is essential to his survival, yet constant power cuts once put his life at risk. Today, thanks to the solar panels, Kamal and his wife can face these crises with peace of mind. As Fadua told us:
“Now we can face these sudden crises more peacefully. We don’t live in fear anymore.”
Another powerful story comes from the Sabah family, who live with three generations under one roof. Before the installation, they could only afford one ampere of electricity, just enough to light a single room. Now, Jamil, the father, proudly says:
“We have regained our dignity. Now we can turn on the light in two rooms at the same time.”
Each new installation brings light, comfort, and stability, allowing families to study, work, and care for one another without fear of the dark.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
With your continued support, we can reach many more Syrian families still waiting for the light of hope to return to their homes.
