Seedlings from our base bound for Leyte

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Warm greetings from Leyte and thank you very much for your continuing support to our project replanting damaged coconuts and other fruit and timber trees in Leyte. This reporting period we continue to provide planting materials that can grow with coconuts in order to improve biodiversity and so that the farmers have a choice in the area. We have some difficulty sourcing planting materials in Leyte so we decided to provide the planting materials from our seedling nursery in Mindanao. Last week we were able to transport 12,000 seedlings comprising coconuts, narra, mahogany, cacao and various fruit trees. This will be distributed in 3 barrios in Albuera namely Damulaan, Talisayan and Bagtan.

We have linked with the local municipal agriculture office so that they will be able to provide continuous technical assistance to farmers planting the seedlings.

Again, thank you very much for your kind support.

Very sincerely yours,

Cora
