By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to replant damaged coconuts due to Typhoon Haiyan. One of the problems that we encounter with this project is the lack of sources of organic fertilizer in the area. In order to remedy this situation we started an organic fertilizer production venture using a heavy-duty organic materials shredder. The shredded materials is mixed with animal waste and then stored for a few weeks. This can then be used as high-grade organic fertilizer. We aim to produce 250 sacks per month and distribute this to coconut planters.
Again thank you very much for your support to this initiative.
With much gratitude,
Cora
