By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friends,
Greetings and may I thank you once again for your generous donation to our home building project. This project is very important because the tents are not ideal for habitation as it becomes soggy during rains and hot during sunny days. The tents are also single-room habitations and all family members including relatives stay in one room. Privacy is absent. However, some of the houses of the survivors are still intact and what is lacking only in order to repair it are nails, walling, roofings. This time we are fortunate to be assisted by the Australian Association of Philippine Community Organizations (APCO) led by its President Jhun Salazar who came all the way to Leyte in order to provide support to the survivors. They donated shelter materials as well as vegetable seeds to the survivors.
Hoping for more support from you, your colleagues and friends for this worthwhile project.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
