By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friends,
Greetings and thank you very much for your support to our project.
May we inform you that we are stopping our Typhoon Melor Emergency response for the reason that the affected communities have already fully recovered and that the effect of the typhoon has already long gone. As our last effort for this project, we conducted capacity-building to 25 barangay health workers and community volunteers in 1 municipality on community-led total sanitation with the aim to skill them so they use their skills in training barrio-folks on the same topic. We focus on supporting sanitation initiative because this is our expertise and because this is much needed in the area. We observed that even before the typhoon, sanitation is already a very low priority agenda for the communities. We hope that our efforts will continue as we move out from the area.
Again, thank you very much for your kind support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
