 ¡ El 8 de mayo fue el Día de la Madre, por lo que ^UBECI decidió celebrar a las madres durante todo el mes! Fue la ocasión perfecta para centrarnos en las madres y su impacto, papel e importancia en la familia. No solo estamos trabajando con los niños, sino que tratamos de ayudar a las familias y especialmente a las madres. La misión es que se sientan comprendidos, respetados y celebrados. ¡Realmente creemos que una madre feliz hace a un niño feliz!

 Throughout time and with perseverance, the UBECI team managed to create strong and trusting bonds with the market’s families. Because of the insecure circumstances and environment they live in, it’s important to have consistency. A lot of them were reluctant at first but now many mothers in the markets are happy to see us come and even wait for our visit! The mothers we have been working with for a long time now play an impactful role in spreading the information about the foundation to other families. Positive word-of-mouth allows us to expand our network and is a sign of confidence for new families.

This is definitely a victory of us because it shows the impact of our work!

A story that moved us:

During our usual tour of the market as we were chatting with a mother that we know, her friend Ms. approached her and asked us about UBECI foundation.She was really interested and we were excited about having her join us!We gave her a Mother's Day gift which she was surprised and very grateful for. She confessed that even her children had never given her anything on this special day. It’s always a pleasure to welcome new families, it makes our work meaningful and worthwhile.

 Finalmente, este mes estuvo completamente dedicado a celebrar a las madres, ¡UBECI pudo entregar regalos a más de 50 madres! Queremos que se sientan valoradas siendo conscientes de que el Día de la Madre no es un día más del calendario. Es una conmemoración y celebración del trabajo tan importante que hacen por sus hijos y su familia. Esto debería ser inspirador para recordarles cuán importantes son no solo en este día sino todos los días.
