UPDATE ON UKRAINE 1000 Sawyer Filter

By Larry Agee | Co-Founder & Executive Director

Sawyer Filter
Sawyer Filter

DAUSA is flying 1000 sawyer filters to Prague which will then be trucked by our people on the ground to Slovakia to be distributed at refugee centers.  Water Infrastructure  is a problem and as the Ukraine refugees are moved, they can carry this filter with them. This ensures the family will have clean water wherever they go and hopeful when they get to go back home also.   The filter will come with a 2 gallon plastic bag to fill with water and then attach the sawyer filter and just squeeze the water thru.  The Filter can also be setup to run off a 5 gallon bucket.  It attaches to most water bladders also.  You only have to back flush it to clean it and keep using.  specs on the filter below.

  • High-performance 0.1 Micron absolute inline filter fits in the palm of your hand and weighs just 2 ounces; 100% of MINI units individually tested three times to performance standards by Sawyer
  • Attaches to included drinking pouch, standard disposable water bottles, hydration packs, or use the straw to drink directly from your water source
  • Removes 99.99999% of all bacteria (salmonella, cholera, and E. coli); removes 99.9999% of all protozoa (such as giardia and cryptosporidium); also removes 100% of microplastics
  • Filter rated up to 100,000 gallons

Air transportation to Europe cost almost as much as the filters so Thank you for your donations. Clean Water will keep them healthy and free of water borne diseases, and parasites.

We are also working on solar lights and hygiene kits, and a large food delivery to the area in the coming weeks
