On a Friday night dinner and movies date night I got a txt message thru our Representative in Poland, from the wife of a family in Ukraine that is helping distribute supplies to their community for DAUSA and other organizations they refuse to leave so we keep them and their community supplied. The txt message said they were under artillery and missile attack. My wife I prayed for their protection and safety. This is also the civilians we had sent body armor too to protect them during their deliveries. We were just leaving the movies and a DAUSA response team member who is a veteran and retired Green Beret called and said he had a large supply of trauma kits and medical supplies that people had gathered but if we wanted them we had to take them that night. I arranged for him to pick up a U-Haul trailer in Dallas to load the supplies on and we picked a location midway between Lake Charles LA (Where I am at) and Dallas. My wife was all for changing date into a run for medical supplies for those in need in Ukraine. I married up as they say! She has a heart for helping those in need! We filled the truck up with gas and our bodies with coffee and caffeine. We did the hand off in a gas station parking lot told stories of old deployments and then went back the way we came arriving home around 2 am. The medical supplies are IV kits, Trauma kits with blood clotting agents, thermal blankets, chest wound kits and a variety of other emergency and trauma supplies. We offloaded them the next morning into a storage unit. The supplies are working their way to eastern Ukraine through several routes.
