Dear Friends,
As the bright and joyful holiday of Christmas approaches, we wanted to take a moment to ask, how are you? We hold each of you in our thoughts—those who have shared your compassion and warmth with individuals in difficulties over these past nearly four years.
This Christmas marks the third we celebrate amid extraordinary circumstances, during one of the most brutal and unpredictable wars of recent times.
You might be wondering how we are. We’re still holding on, though sometimes only by the strength of our resolve. The daily air attacks on our city and recurring blackouts remain part of our reality. Yet, we find strength and hope in the gratitude and success stories of those we serve.
In addition to supporting displaced individuals, we now assist local families profoundly affected by the war. Many have loved ones serving in the army, have suffered heartbreaking losses, or are struggling with economic hardships. Each month, about 25 families find shelter and food at our Transit Center, and over 30 families receive humanitarian aid.
This year, we launched a program dedicated to helping women secure employment and develop essential professional and life skills. This support has become vital as many international humanitarian programs in Odesa have ended, yet the need remains as high as ever. And so, we continue.
Your support means the world to us. As you celebrate this season, we wish you a holiday filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of cherished moments. May the light of Christmas fill your heart with peace, joy, and wonder.
With deep gratitude,
Way Home Foundation team
