Help brave Ukrainian children facing two wars

Project Report | Dec 19, 2025
This Christmas card comes with three stories

By Anastasiia Baraniuk | Specialist of Individual Fundraising

As 2025 draws to a close, we find ourselves thinking about the moments that mattered most this year. Not the headlines or the milestones - but the quiet victories that changed everything for the families who lived them.

This December, there are Ukrainian children laughing, dreaming, and living - because you chose to care. Your generosity didn't just support programs or fund treatments. It gave back futures.

Let us show you exactly what your kindness achieved this year.

You gave Mykhailo his childhood back

When winter arrived this year, Mykhailo faced a brain tumor. Your support ensured he received the treatment he needed.

Today, Mykhailo is back home in Kharkiv, going to school and running his own little video blog. His mother recently shared: "He told me that if he had one wish, he'd choose to heal every illness with a single touch".

That wish exists because you gave him the chance to dream again.

You showed Katia what compassion looks like

Twelve-year-old Katia defeated kidney cancer this year, thanks to the care your donations provided. In the hospital, Katia met a volunteer who led creative workshops. She experienced what it means when someone shows up and cares.

Now recovered, she returns to the hospital three times a month to teach workshops to children still fighting. She raises funds and collects toys at her school. In her words: "I was in the hospital too, and I know how important it is when someone helps you".

You taught her that. The kindness you showed Katia is now healing other children through her hands.

You helped Viacheslav discover his future

Before this year, Viacheslav was undergoing treatment for blood cancer. After recovery, he faced the challenges many young survivors do - rebuilding confidence and connecting with others. Your support gave him access to our teen communications club, where he found his voice and purpose.

Today, Viacheslav lives in England, studying culinary arts and dreaming of opening his own restaurant. From a hospital bed to a chef's kitchen - because you believed a Ukrainian teenager's dreams were worth fighting for.

As this year draws to a close, we want you to know:

Every laugh, every recovery, every dream that came true in 2025 carries your fingerprints. Mykhailo's video messages. Katia's workshops. Viacheslav's culinary dreams. They exist because you chose to act when it mattered most.

Thank you for giving Ukrainian kids the chance to dream, grow, heal, and laugh. You made this year's miracles possible - and we cannot wait to show you what we'll achieve together in the year ahead.

With endless gratitude and warmest holiday wishes,

Tabletochki Charity Foundation
