Dear Supporters,
This month we updated our project name but our mission, passion and love for the ocean is stronger than ever. 2050 could be worse than the 2020 pandemic if we don’t take this last chance we have been given to save our ocean. Are you willing to let our children eat plastic for the rest of their lives?
This project was originally set up in loving memory of Sara King, an english woman, who dedicated her life to the ocean. Sara was a strong ambassador of our charity and worked in Madagascar, United States, United Kingdom, Fiji and South Africa to promote the state of our beautiful ocean due to our uneducated ways of not recycling in the past.
Sara sadly passed away in 2019 off the coast of South Africa in an accident at Sea, taking part in life changing critical research on micro-plastics was her last challenge and we want to ensure we help continue training, educate and inspire young minds to continue her work.
As this project has not had many donations we decided it was time to change the name so people can understand the critical issue we are facing in the ocean today. We can no longer put it off until tomorrow as our sea life all contains plastic. We are in a critical state of emergency and this is our last chance to make any difference.
A gift to this project will help us provide resources, training and scholarships to young people that show the passion and inspiration to become ambassadors for our Ocean like Sara but due to their economic climate, status and other factors are often never given the chance due to the lack of funding available to them.
Together let’s break down these barriers and train the next generation of life changing ambassadors.
Don’t forget this month GlobalGiving is running their little x little campaign, which means your donation of $50 will be matched 50% by GlobalGiving if you donate between the 14th -18th September. Your gift can swim a little further in September….
Thank you.
With Gratitude,
Sara King Scholarship Fund
