On January 30th, earlier this year, we held our annual HiEd Scholarship Award Ceremony! This year we awarded 16 new scholarships to refugee students from 8 different countries. All students are currently pursuing their Bachelor's Degree or Foundation program in Malaysia. We now have a total of 35 Scholars under our program since we started in 2021!
Scholars attended the event with their families, and received their award certificates and special goodie bags, filled with items and merchandise that will be useful as they start their educational journeys.
The event brought our partners, friends and families together to celebrate the success of our scholars. The opportunity to study a full-time program at a University on campus or online, is a challenge for many refugee students in Malaysia. Hence receiving our scholarship has cleared a pathway for these 16 students to leap steps closer to their dreams and ambitions.
We thank you for your continuous support and urge you to continue your support or share our project with those in your network. We hope to award another 16 more scholarships later this year, to give more students a chance to attain their goals.
