We are so grateful for your donation to Menstrual Equity for Girls in Latin America. Period poverty impacts more than 500 million women and girls globally. This can mean many things, including lack of access to products, inadequate menstrual health education and insufficient privacy to manage menstruation (Regional Health-Americas TL, 2022). Thanks to your generosity, 333 Supreme Days for Girls washable menstrual pad Kits were distributed in the Dominican Republic. These Kits, along with menstrual health education, were given to women in prisons and minors in juvenile detention centers. Individuals who are in prison or juvenile detention centers often do not have easy access to affordable period products and menstrual health education. Now these women and girls will not have to worry about how to manage their menstruation and will be able to do so with increased dignity.
Thank you so much for making it possible for women in Latin America to have what they need to manage their periods every month.
