It has been an exciting few months at FundLife that has seen us intensify our programming for vulnerable youth and go back to regular education and purposeful play after all COVID-19 restrictions were lifted in Fab 2023.

Please see below some of our highlights over the last 3 months that your support has helped us achieve;

HIGHLIGHTS:

• "Move for Equity" campaign has made an impactful contribution towards Girls Got This and their noble cause of empowering young adolescent girls with equal educational opportunities, protection against abuse and violence, and access to quality employment. We proudly announce that the campaign saw the active participation of 1006 individuals over 23 days.
  
  
• The much-awaited Girls Community League Season 2023 has been launched. This highly anticipated Development Futsal League is for girls in Leyte and Samar and boasts 17 teams and 115 girls. With three distinct categories - 13 years old and under (U13), 17 years old and under (U17), and Women's Open - this season promises to be an exhilarating experience.
  
  
• We provided training to 87 teachers and youth mentors to help them better support students with disabilities. Additionally, we taught them practical strategies for improving children's literacy and critical thinking skills.
  
  
• Conducted a total of 30 mentorship sessions for young individuals. These sessions were designed to cover important and vital topics such as freedom of expression, responsible use of social media, social validation, and career readiness. The graduating Senior High School students who participated in these sessions were well-equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive in their personal and professional lives.
  
  
• 153 after-school football and futsal sessions were conducted with more than 402 active young learners from 10 schools, one childcare facility, and two community sites in Leyte.
  
  
• One hundred fifty-five study support sessions were successfully conducted by our learning aids to assist students who may be facing academic difficulties. These sessions offer valuable opportunities for students to engage in diverse activities that focus on improving their literacy and numeracy skills.
  
  
• FundLife's learning intervention has undeniably boosted the learning outcomes of 402 Grade 5 to Junior High School students, as evidenced by the participation of young learners from partner schools during the learning festivals organized to celebrate the learners who qualified to move up to a higher grade level. The celebrations also acknowledged the commendable attitudes and performance of the students in various learning activities over a year.
  
  
• FundLife successfully hosted the Summer Cup, an exciting futsal event that united around 150 children and partners in Leyte. The festival's primary goal was to create awareness about the crucial role of water in combating the adverse effects of extreme heat, especially for young children.
