Because of You: How Global Givers Are Transforming

By Bina Rani | Founder

Dear Global Givers,

On behalf of the iPartner India team and our scholars, we extend our heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support in shaping the future of young girls in our program. We are pleased to share an update on the progress of two of our scholars, Pooja and Kiran (names changed for privacy).

Both girls are currently enjoying their summer vacations and continue to grow in confidence—enabling them to assert their rights within their families and communities.

Kiran, 19, recently completed her 12th standard with a score of 50%. After a round of career counselling, she has decided to pursue a 5-year integrated law course (BA+LLB). She has applied to colleges both in her current boarding university and in Mumbai, where she is currently staying for the summer break. Due to her medical condition, she is particularly hopeful about securing admission in Mumbai. Kiran remains in close contact with the iPartner India team as she navigates these important next steps.

Pooja has successfully completed her first-year university exams and is now awaiting the results. Her semester ended in May, and she is currently spending her two-month vacation with her family. Alongside her academic pursuits, Pooja has also enrolled in a preparatory course for government entrance exams. Her first semester results are already showing promise, with strong grades across subjects—including an A grade in her favorite subject, Indian Cultural Heritage.

Both girls have also participated in individual and group counselling sessions organized by the iPartner India team. These sessions have been instrumental in helping them process past trauma and navigate daily challenges. They have developed a strong rapport with the counselor and have found a safe space to express themselves.

Kiran and Pooja are not only building brighter futures for themselves but are also becoming role models—encouraging other girls in their communities to break the cycle of violence and speak up for their rights. Their growing confidence would not be possible without the generous support of the GlobalGiving network.

Thank you, from all of us at iPartner India, for standing with these young changemakers.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Team iPartner India
