Dear GlobalGiving Family,
Thank you so much for supporting our two scholars — Pooja and Kiran (names changed for privacy), who were in urgent need of scholarships to save themselves from exploitation. The entire iPartner India team extends heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering generosity.
Both girls are doing remarkably well, continuing their education, participating in campus activities, and showing inspiring resilience in the face of challenges. With your support, they are not just attending college but truly thriving in a nurturing environment.
Pooja’s Progress Update
Pooja successfully completed her first year of college with solid grades, maintaining an average score of around 60–65% across both semesters.
After returning from her two-month summer break, she enthusiastically joined her college Kabaddi team (a popular Indian sport similar to tag or rugby). She attends regular evening practice sessions and also tried out for the athletics team. Though she wasn’t selected this time, her determination and team spirit remain strong.
Beyond sports, Pooja continues to excel academically and socially she won first place in a quiz competition and volunteered during the inauguration of her college’s new sports ground. She has truly grown into a confident, active, and well-rounded young woman.
Kiran’s Progress Update
Earlier this year, Kiran successfully completed her final year of high school. She initially hoped to study law through a five-year integrated university programme that combines a bachelor’s degree with legal studies. However, due to health challenges, she was unable to qualify for the entrance exam this year.
Instead of taking a break, Kiran made the thoughtful decision to begin a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and plans to apply for a three-year law programme after she graduates.
Through iPartner India’s support, Kiran has also joined a mentorship group that connects young students from disadvantaged backgrounds with experienced mentors. This network is helping her stay motivated, develop confidence, and plan her future with renewed hope.
Our Reflections
We are deeply proud of Pooja and Kiran — their perseverance and optimism perfectly capture the spirit of iPartner India’s Educate Her, Empower Her initiative.
Your continued support through GlobalGiving is helping young women like them pursue education, overcome barriers, and build lives filled with dignity, independence, and opportunity.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Team iPartner India
