Hello once again,
We are into our summer now, with rain/hail storms sometimes disrupting our daily work.
On the 2nd December we held our annual Christmas Fair and the weather was kind to us. We had a fantastic turnout with over 50 assorted stalls with many gift items, Christmas foods etc. it was a very successful day all round.
Our 2 recent Spay/Neuter clinics (August & September) went well, with a total of 106 neuters achieved and a further 215 receiving medical checks which included vaccinations and the statutory Rabies shots. A total of 321 animals checked altogether. There were a few ‘short nosed’ dogs at the first clinic, which were operated on here in Mbabane as the Vet’s felt it was too dangerous to undertake them at a rural clinic.
Attached is a photo of our completed ‘new’ kitchen – wonderful clean space to work in now! Later this year we hope to have a group of high-school ‘art students’ decorate the wall with a mural.
Our hospital pens are not yet in action, as we are waiting for the metal work to be completed. The rainy weather may delay that for a while.
Lots of odd jobs to be done once the weather dries up a bit in both kennels.
Thank you all for your support, and from us here in Eswatini, we wish you a Peaceful and healthy 2024.
