Babies! Lots of babies are thriving and YOU are the reason.
Recently we have seen an increase in the number of babies and small children coming to the hospital severely malnourished.
Some babies are malnourished because their mums can’t nurse due to a number of medical reasons.
Others are because their families are suffering from food insecurities, and the lack of food impacts the mom’s ability to produce enough milk to breastfeed.
Recently a grandfather brought his toddler grandson to the hospital. The child was suffering from malnutrition for the third time! The entire family struggled to have food in the home and their health was declining.
In this situation food was supplied to the family in addition to a special formula for the malnourished child.
Your generosity to the Urgent Medical fund helps cover the costs of the formula given to these families to begin their journey back to health.
