Continue raising open pollinated seeds

Growing open pollinated vegetables

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project assisting Marawi City evacuees with vegetable gardening. I am happy to inform you that I was able to link-up with a seed company that produces open-pollinated seeds that the beneficiaries can grow and by which they can use the seeds from mature plants for the next planting season. We always have a problem with this because seed sellers are marketing hybrid seeds and these could not be reproduced for the next planting season making us always buy from the seed companies. We want the evacuees to earn income and using open pollinated seeds is one way to do it.  We purchased several seeds and grow them in our seed production farm for multiplication purposes. We have a total of 1/2 kilo seeds each of ladys finger, tomato, eggplant, squash and pepper. Three months from now when they mature we target to disperse them to 300 beneficiaries.

Again, thank you for your generous support.

Very sincerely yours,

Cora
