By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous donation providing support in terms of gardening to those affected by the ISIS-inspired terroristic act in Marawi City. This project reporting period we focused our efforts to teaching children how to grow vegetables by using local recycled materials around the house such as containers, plastic, sacks and kitchen waste for organic fertilizer. We provide vegetable seeds and small garden tools that the trainees will use in their gardening activities. This is beneficial to them because it makes the children happy and productive and the vegetables that they grow they can use for their food and the surplus for sale in the market. We can see that the children participating in the project are happy and motivated and they are helping each other in taking care of their gardens. We were able to provide training and initial inputs to 73 children in this manner.
Hoping for your continuing support to our initiative.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
