By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project initiating the planting of vegetables in backyards of households where residents escaping the violence in Marawi City has evacuated. Until now the rehabilitation of the city is very slow and there is an urgent and coninuous need of providing food for the evacuees. Gardening is a welcome respite for them since it is easy to do and does not need much capital to start one. This reporting period and in partnership with a local partner we are able to launch a vegetable and small farm development training with mostly youth participants numbering 120 and divided into 4 batches of 40 trainees per batch. After the training, we distributed vegetable seeds and small garden tools to them so that they can start immediately their home project.
Hoping for your continuing support to this initiative.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
